Going to weekly yoga classes taught by Certified Iyengar Yoga Teachers (CIYTs) can contribute to regularity in yoga practice. Doing yoga at the same time in the same place in your home is a way to stay on track. Wearing special yoga outfits can send a message to your body and mind that it’s time to practice yoga. Turning off all electronic devices prevents distractions. Using a timer can help us stay in our practice and help us build up time in yoga poses. Using yoga sequences found in Iyengar Yoga books or notes from class can be good guides of what yoga postures to practice.
