Yoga poses are the means for us to transform. Our minds and hearts change from the beginning of practice to end. When is the end? When we leave a class or our home practice, what happens? There are many different poses and we can become different shapes, animals, and forms. In our lives we transition from childhood to adulthood. What stays the same? Just when we leave class, what stays with us? What is it that makes us think we’re us? Do we not forget ourselves in sleep? Are you yourself in your dreams? Funny how the mind can play tricks. Yoga helps us to transcend those mental illusions to find peace and freedom.
