Last night it was the full moon for December and it also snowed several inches. Since Christmas is fast approaching this spectacular event made me think of “The Night Before Christmas” by Clement C. Moore.
“The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave luster of midday to objects below”
The full moon for this month is known as the Cold Moon. When the moonlit shines brightly done on earth illuminating the landscape it reminds me how our consciousness tends to fluctuate like the moon. On the contrary our innermost self always shines bright like the sun. Although there are times when weather hides the sun just like spiritual obstacles veil our blissful layer. The moon represents how what we might think of as our real self is in fact not since it changes. While the sun is always constant and signifies the real, pure, and permanent.
