In honor of Arbor Day today’s pose will be Vrksasana known as tree pose. This yoga posture can be done using the wall for hand support or done in the middle of the room. Using the wall as a prop shows us a practitioners how props can be our friends. Tree pose can reveal to us what foot or leg we tend favor as one side may seem easier to balance over the other. There are different arm positions that can be used for this pose the most classic being urdhva namaskarasa upward greetings pose. The arms are to be straight raised overhead with palms glued together. Vrksasana is a member of the standing pose family.
